Saint George, Utah is one of the best areas in the country for families to hike and bike in a red rock paradise.  Spring in the Saint George area goes from late February to the end of April and is one of the best times of year to play in southern Utah due to the mild daytime weather. Most days you can hike, bike, and play in this area with just a light jacket or sweatshirt. Families really enjoy vacationing this time of year with children since they do not have to worry about children getting too hot or too cold.  The River Home is the perfect spring family vacation rental to gather the family in one home near lots of recreation.

There are many great hiking and biking spots around Saint George, Utah. A few of our favorite spots are Snow Canyon State Park, Red Cliffs National Recreation Area, the Virgin River Canyon, and Zion National Park. They are all amazingly beautiful areas with spectacular red rock formations. 

Snow Canyon State Park has some great spots for families. The white rock amphitheater and petrified sand dunes are wonderful areas for children to scramble around the rocks, explore the rock formations, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. 

Red Cliffs National Recreation Area is also a great spot for families to hike and bike. It has some wonderful easy hikes.  There are numerous things to do in this recreation area. There are several historic sites to visit, dozens of hiking trails, biking areas, red rock formations for children to play on, and spectacular views for families to enjoy. 

The Virgin River Canyon and Zion National Park has some of the most breathtaking views and red rock scenery anywhere in the world. Zion National Park has become one of the most famous national parks in the worlds due to its amazing red rock formations and world-class views. Spring is a great time to enjoy this area due to the mild weather and smaller crowds.
