April has arrived and spring is in full swing in Saint George. The weather is beautiful, and the outdoor recreation is endless this time of year. It is one of the most beautiful months of the year in southern Utah. Here are a few of our favorite recreation to do in Saint George in spring.
Hiking is always a great option in the Saint George area. Snow Canyon State Park, Zion National Park, the Dixie National Forest, Red Cliffs National Recreation Area, and the Virgin River Gorge are just a few of the options for hikers. April is an ideal month for hikers to enjoy all these world-class hiking areas. The weather is not too hot or too cold and the mild weather will make your hike perfect for any member of your family.
Bike riding is also a great activity any time of year around Saint George. There are many paved trails around the city to explore the city of Saint George. There are also many mountain biking trails around Snow Canyon State Park and the Virgin River Gorge for those that are looking for a more challenging bike ride.
ATV and side by side riding is another great outdoor activity for families in April. Sand Hollow State Park and Gooseberry Mesa are two of our favorite areas to ride ATVs with our family. Sand Hollow State Park is great for a half day or full day ride and for families that want to play around on sand dunes and not go very far. Gooseberry Mesa is ideal for those groups that want to explore some backcountry areas and see some beautiful views of Zion National Park and the surrounding area.
In the city of Saint George there is plenty for families to do. Golf Courses, splash pads, and great restaurants are all over the city. There are endless things to do for families who want to relax and enjoy some time exploring Saint George in spring.
We hope to see you in Saint George this spring for some outdoor recreation with your family!
