Winter is a great time to vacation in Saint George. The weather is mild and there is tons of outdoor recreation to enjoy during the winter months. In this blog we will discuss some of our favorite winter recreation in Saint George.
Much of Utah is covered in snow during the winter months, but the mild winter weather in Saint George makes the golf courses free of snow. Golfing around Saint George is great year-round. There are several amazing golf courses around the Saint George area, and you can golf a couple of them during a winter vacation or golf your favorite course a couple days in a row.
Snow Canyon State Park is a beautiful red rock state park just outside of Saint George that is great for hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. It is just up the road a few minutes from the Saint George River Home and easy to access for families that want to get out and enjoy the mild weather and the spectacular red rock scenery while they hike or bike.
Zion National Park is just north of Saint George and is an amazing national park to explore any season of the year. The winter months are great since the crowds are small and Zion National Park is peaceful and quiet. The rain and snow on the red rock formations also create a great opportunity for some spectacular scenery and photography during the winter season.
Saint George has some great parks for children and downtown restaurants. During the winter in Saint George families can enjoy a day playing at the park and go get some great food in the evening at one of the many delicious restaurants in downtown Saint George.
The Saint George River Home has an indoor pool and a large in-ground hot tub. It is a great way to spend time swimming with children during a winter vacation. During the chilly winter evenings, the hot tub is great for guests to relax and soak.
